Rode videomic bag?

Merry Christmas...

I acquired a rode videomic today (thanks mum) for use with my 600D. I'd like to be able to carry it around in my day to day bag (manfrotto stile messenger) but i'm a little worried about how hardy the videomic is going to prove.

How do people carry theirs around? Will the bag for the stereomic fit?

Any suggestions are welcome.

My Rode Videomic came with its own carry case, didn't yours?
 
Apologies, mine didn't come with a bag either I was mixing it up with another mic. I just put it in the camcorder bag.
