Just heard that Trance DJ Robert Miles has died aged 47

People may not know him but his track 'Children' became a hit in many countries and charted in the UK

Preferred his One & One track myself but still another lost talent. RIP
 
yeah saw that myself, loved his early stuff.
remember being up at tall trees next to one of the base bins taking in that tune.
only 47 as well.

Better tune for sure but 'Children' charted. I was in Ibiza when it landed and was a tracked that just got people moving.
 
There was a fantastic 12 inch guitar version I have on cd single somewhere must have a listen.

Just picked up amaxi CD Single with 5 mixes of Schiller's Das Glockenspiel! Like Children, there are some great instrumentals.

That's sad news as the Children single was part of my Ambient/Trance/Rave/Techno phase in the '90's (Chemical Brothers, Orbital, Leftfield, etc) . . . at a time when the UK music scene was actually exciting and experimental.

Shame. I have two of his albums from years ago. He was mega and then just disappeared for some reason.
