Folks im trying to find info on certain small roads in Scotland which were blocked by snow the last time i visited them. These are small roads and looking at various sites there is no info on the closeure. For example one road is the A939 over a grouse moor, the other is the road from Findhorn Valley to Farr--another moorland road. Any ideas where i can get this info and possibly on a regular basis. The A939 had a sign on it saying road closed but no idea when it will re-open

The lecht ski centre is on the A939 if you find out if its open they might give you info on the road

The A939 is the Cock Bridge to Tomintoul road, it's notorious as the first road in Scotland to get blocked by snow every year. It's as steep as hell.

I'd phone the police station nearest to the road concerned. They'll have a good idea what is passable.
