A true gentleman and a fantastic footballer

Sad day for us blues. Not played for us for over 40 years and we still sing about him during the games (when we're allowed in obviously!)

And even more so, I've never heard bad word said about him by anyone, and he was always around the ground on match days and would stop and chat

Started watching City in 1970 and met him at Ringway Airport when they were off to a European game. Lovely bloke and very unassuming

We used to live in Bolton in the mid sixties and if Bolton were playing away, we used to go to Bury or Manchester City (City bought Franny Lee from Bolton and he was worth watching). Colin Bell was a terrific midfielder, similar to Bobby Moore, except Bell scored more goals.
