Hi guys, been looking at getting a ringflash for portrait work to get the nice catchalight in the eye but my main studio lens is the Sigma 24-70 f2.8 which has a MASSIVE filter thread, been looking at the Sunpak and Marumi units.

Can anyone shed some light on weather either of these will be suitable?

Cheers.

Chris.

Sorry, can't answer your question but Macro ringflashes are for macro (or at least close up) photography and don't produce a real 'ringflash effect) when photographing people, as well as having inadequate power.

You need a professional ringflash, which is physically big enough to produce the effect and which has enough power.

The Lencarta ringflash will take lenses up to 98mm diameter

As much as i'd love one i simply don't have the funds for one at the mo, just recently bought the EP starter kit from yourselves and i'm very happy with it. Do forum members get an discount off yourselves?

Regards.

Another option is to get a speedlite Rayflash adapter.
Got one last week and am seriously impressed!

Sorry, no discounts possible - and prices will be going up when the next delivery arrives...:'(

Still a lot lower than other suppliers though;)

Mine was from Warehouse Express.

£50 more for the Nikon version!!!!

And it only fits the SB800 not the 600:(

I'll just wait till i can get a dedicated one i think.

Cheers for the info though:thumbs:
