Yes
I'm toying with looking for a ring flash to go with my Olympus EM1ii outfit, mainly for shooting macro on the fly - on morning dog walks near the beach, I see some fascinating little snails and want to photograph them and other small fauna without carrying and setting up any lights etc. I think rig flash is the best solution, but I'd welcome advice from more knowledgeable folk.
Cheers

Another option could be Godox MF12's, no cables to worry about, but may be higher cost compared to a ring flash.

A second for the MF12's not only great for macro but useful for all sorts of off camera work. Paired with a X1/2 or x-pro controller they are awesome bits of kit.

Also due to their design I reckon they are easier to make diffusion for than a ring flash would be, if thats a factor for you. They do come with some very basic ones that do a fairly good job for what they are.

Thanks for that recommendation, it does look a better option than a traditional ring flash.
Actually I just bought the set a moment before you posted @Gav. from Essential Photo - £200 inc postage, obviously on a sale at present otherwise I would have bought your linked ones @Graham W

I used to have the Nikon versions (Before Godox existed) Being Nikon they cost three quarters of a million pounds!

I have a Yongnuo ring flash which came in very handy when photographing some Coptic textile fragments bot no so useful with small reflective items where the light needs to be positioned obliquely.
