Hi all

Looking forward to the 52. First time at anything like this.
I really hope i improve and can see a difference by week 52.
All CC welcome every week and i will comment on others.



week 1 - curves


week 2 - Poetry

Not had much time to sort it. This is our new pup, Roxy, 5 weeks, a Shih Tzu / Jack russell (jack **** LOL)

Awwww he's sweet! Nice job, for both, his eyes are great, could have used that one for curvy too.
 
The poem & pic really do have the aww factor. Well done.
I am not so keen on your first one because of the red bits etc in the BG. Nothing you could have done about that though.
 
A good pair of images Richard. I recognise that Cafe :D... A good shot, as Charlie said, the red lights distract a little.

Very cute image to go with the Poem. Both on theme.

Hi Ricky,

Not sure about the first shot for street. The processing gives it some interest, but it's not really doing much for me.

No.2 is far better. I feel like I could do with just a touch more space on the RHS, but other than that the composition is good and I like the fact that you've chosen a portrait format over landscape.

It's one of those streets with a real timeless feel to it and the B&W suits that mood perfectly. I feel like it could do with a bit of a contrast boost to make the most of it, but definitely the stronger of the two images.
 
I like the Chopped shot - very clever :)

I prefer the second Street shot :)
 
I like the second image better but feel it would be better with a figure or two, or even a cat on a windowsill - it is a bit too deserted for my taste, though that is probably how you wanted it. ;)
 
Late again, had to think fast,
speed = slow shutter speed.

Need to get my back side into gear and do something during week and not leave it until weekend.
Breif explain = at work thought about clock shot.
Had to crop square as it was slightly tilted.

Your "curved" image is fantastic, I like the colours and composition a lot :thumbs: well done.

Your "chopped" image, another cracker. It is very creative and bang on theme.

"Speed" I know where you are coming from on the leaving it to the last minute shot. i too must manage my time better. I thought "one image a week, how difficult can that be"? :bang:

As a starter, the link pointing to your 52 from the "People doing a 52" thread is pointint to an old post. You might want to update it, or add it as a sig as it was tough to find your thread.

And I'm glad I did, as I think your speed shot is excellent. I love the way you've captured the movement in the second hand.
