Sorry but its been a bit of a rushed one this week as I've been really busy.
I was given several Tamron lenses though, so decided to try the macro out for this shot. I've not used a macro before, so C&C welcome :)

Nice dof, Rich. :)

I was given several Tamron lenses

Wow, can I have some too please? :D
I'm not a macro expert but if, as you said you used a macro lens, I would have liked to have seen a closer shot of the play button with just the button next to it rather than all the buttons - still a good shot though and similar to one of the images in my 52 this week.

DOF works well but I find the blue circle around the last button a bit distracting. If this indicates the active button then it may have been better to have the play button active

Thanks for your comments, I've done a quick reshoot of just 2 buttons. This time I tried to get the play half of the button in focus and the pause half out of focus. I've sort of done it, have a look and tell me what you think...

Definitely prefer the edit Rich

While the first one was good, the blue circle around the oof buttion didn't quite work.
You've definitely got the focus where you wanted it in this one. The play symbol is very sharp

I don't think that the angle is helping it here though.
The shot appears like it's been taken straight on, but the fact that part of it is oof while looking like it's on the same plane as the "in focus" part is a bit confusing. I think a more slanted composition might help.

I much prefer the second shot, I know I really like it because I'm getting picky. If I was going to improve it I'd like to see a bit less symetry, the second button a little bit more out of the shot, move the first button a snats more central, or get in closer on it.

Great work though, like I say, I know I like a shot when I get into trying to improve it somehow.
