Fancy kit can make you more productive but it can't make you more creative.

but, if you have BAD kit then it can make the experience so frustrating that you give up and take your bat home.
I remember my mum having a mechanical typewriter that invariably left one of the keys in mid air (like I know which one).... anyway she hated it.
