Ok So i have a set of RF 603's i have 4 in total.. up intill about 1 month ago they have been working fine...

now my last 2-3 outdoor shoots have been a pain in the arse!

basically only 1 out of the 3 flashes usually fires. i take the batterys out put them in again and it will fire again for a bit when stop working.

or the other 1's will work its just very intermitant and its doing my head in!

the green lights are on all the units and they look like they are ready to fire they just dont :(.

ive not yet tried new batteries in them as surley if the green lights are on they cant be dead? ..

anybody esle had issues?

might have to replace with the cactus v5 things if they are still playing up! but they are more money

This

ill get some new batteries and give them ago then!

like i said they have been fine for ages..

its either the batteries or they dont like working in cold tempratures!

ive used this indoor a few times with no issues over the last few weeks.

soon as i go outside they **** me about

I'm pretty sure a fresh set of batteries will sort them out.

Have you checked that they haven't accidentally been switched on to a different channel?

yeah did this.. when they where playing up took batteries out of them all move chanel to 4 on them all and tried again same as before only 1 of them worked...

the batteries have been in for a good 10 shoots now so maybe time to change them.

what rechargeable batteries do you lot recommend?

could do with some for the flashes and the triggers so AA and AAA

The triggers don't work well with rechargable batteries.

I always use rechargeable batteries never had an issue with them at all

Rechargeable batteries operate at 1.2v as opposed to the 1.5v of alkallines. This can effect the operating distance and reliability, often manifesting as misfires.
With two batteries per receiver, you will only have 2.4v instead of 3v.

Considering how cheap you can buy procell multipacks from ebay and how long these batteries last I never use anything else.

would these procell's be good enough to power my flashes as well?

im currently using Duracell ultra power.. as i got aload cheap..

they are lasting in my flashes for about2-3 shoots so thats around 600+ photos
