I always do a check on reviews before I buy from Amazon if an item is sold by a company other than Amazon and have probably saved myself a lot of grief so, when I looked for a joiner to do some minor work a company came up . An AI overview review showed..
Some customers reviews indicate issues with the quality of work and unprofessional behaviour,including unfinished jobs and alleged thefts.Others highlight their fully qualified and insured status and expertise in various carpentry tasks. I wonder who wrote the latter review ?

Another review detailed an incident where a customer claimed they were overcharged, and the work was not completed, with the carpenter allegedly taking items from the customer's home. Another review mentions that the money was taken and they did not return to finish the work. Another customer reported having to "fish out" cans and bags from the recycling bin after he had allegedly disposed of them.
The hunt goes on. Maybe I'll have a go at the job myself....then get a carpenter in to do it properly
