Hi all, as the title says, I've been out of the business for about 10 years. Shooting professionally lead me to lose the love for photography and I didn’t want to get the kit out unless it was earning. My field was motorsport working in various FIA GT series and in particular one team running the Ford GT1 back in 2010
So after a couple of years of not using my kit, I sold everything to MPB.com maybe 4 years ago.
Now I’m getting the itch again and thinking about an R1 and starting with some EF L lenses again from MPB. My plan is to get the kit earning again and once paid for, I’ll replace the EF lenses with their RF equivalents. However, with a full time office job, I think it’s going to be much much harder to make the kit earn its keep. So I’m also looking to get back into shooting just for my own pleasure.
As a hobby, the R1 is a very expensive purchase, but in case I do get it to earn then I want to make sure I start with the right equipment….buy once buy right and I’ve always loved my 1 series cameras…indestructible and weatherproof.
