I have some scans of some old photographs that my wife's grandfather would love to have restored, but they're well beyond my ability (creases through the middle of eyes etc). Does anyone have any suggestion of a company that might be able to do this for me for a reasonable fee?

You have a pm.

Offer withdrawn.

How many are there and any chance of you posting an example?

A lot of people on here will have the skill to do that ...

It might not have to take too long if you don't expect a 'perfect' cosmetic result - just something convincing if still a little rough. But yeah - post at least some low-res versions up ...

The more images there are (especially with the same people in) might be useful too, since it's possible bits (eg the eyes you mentioned) can be 'borrowed' from one picture by another ...

Apologies, I'd typed out a reply to the PM and then somehow never sent the thing!

4 of varying sizes, none of them very big.

Yeah not after anything perfect :)

Apologies, have been meaning to get the scans from my laptop, but hectic at the moment so not even had a chance to turn the laptop on yet. Finally have a DIY free evening tonight, so will grab the scans and get some posted up.

Right, have the scans and I think having had a chance to look at them properly, I can make a good enough job of all but 1 of them. This is the one I'm struggling with.

It's my Wife's 97 year old Grandad in the pic

the higher the resolution the better.... I'm assuming you downsized for the forum?

Hmm, it just uploaded like that, I'll see if I can re-export in a higher file size.

He's carried it around in his pocket since their wedding, hence the creases!

Just from the Jpeg
its not bad if you don't pixle peep but it should print out the same size as the posted one

I've just downloaded a copy, give me a day and I'll see what I can do.
