resizing query! URGENT!

hello all, i think i know how to do this but my way would take a while so thought i would ask here.

i want to take an photograph for my documentary class but instead of printing it at a1 size, i would like to make it out of photographs that are 6' x 4'.

i don't want the image duplicated over and over again like i have previously done, just to divide the picture by say 15 lines of 12 photographs and print each of them out individually.

any help???

I know Photoshop has the Slice tool so you can cut it up, or try Posterazor.

so i could draw on my grid and then use slice tool to cut out each individual photo to print?

This is how I do in CS2, so may differ in later versions.
I choose the Slice tool and right click on the image and choose Divide Slice...
Enter your pixel dimensions for each slice in pixels. Not sure what 6x4 relates to but there are ways to find out how many pixels in 6x4.
It will show you the slices.
I don't know if there is any easier way to save the slices, but the way I know (long winded) is to then do File > Save for web.
ImageReady automatically opens. Specify your preset (Jpeg/High) and then Save.
When the Save Optimized As window appears, you can choose Images Only instead of Html and Images.
