Resizing jpegs

If there's lots, re-export from Lightroom as a batch in the right size.
If there's just a couple, import into something like Irfanview and use the re-size function.

just odd one or two images in jpeg format.

Used InFanView, work a treat, many thanks for the advice

On a Mac, I open the image with the built in Preview application and choose Resize from the image menu.

On Windows, I open the image with the built in Pictures application and choose Resize from the "..." menu

On Linux I use The GIMP, which is a little more trouble than the other two.
 
Go to photos in windows. You'll have an option there to resize your photos. It's a piece of cake.
