I need to resize my images for posting here using The Gimp, to which I am very new, so instructions for the irredeemably stupid would be most appreciated
edited to say that I really am thick so the simpler the better please!
Just a tip for anyone here wanting the same advice and who really is as thick as me:
After scale command and typing 800 in the width box, you need to click tab - underneath the number 1 at the top left hand side of your keyboard. If you don't, it won't make the height relative.
After resizing the image as described above, you need to go to the image command thing again and flatten the image before saving it, otherwise computer says "no".
By the way, if I've rewritten a script by Remus Eserblom (I've made a couple of versions, actually, but I only use two of them) for better resizing.
It should be in my GIMP plug-in pack.
It's my collection of GIMP plug-ins, scripts, curve and channel mixer presets.
Unpack the archive into
Code:
C:\Documents and Settings\[your username without the square brackets]\.gimp-2.4
