Resizing for camera club battle. DPI setting

Sorry for being dumb.

I have been asked to resize all the images for an inter club comp.

I have been asked to resize all images to have a max pixel size of 1400, which is easy but I am not sure what dpi should i use?

is it just 72dpi or will it make any difference if i go with 240 or even 300?

All images will be projected via laptop and projector.

Don't worry about the DPI, it's for printing
