resizeing multiple photos

What is the easiest way to resize several photos to say 10mb. (batch process etc)

You don't say what you use but if i assume you are downsizing in Photoshop try recording an action which uses File | automate | fit image. You may need to convert to 8 bit in the action as well to get to the desired file size (assuming you are in 16bit RAW or similar).

I normally just record a custom action, and run it with a keyboard shortcut, this way i can also change the resolution and other details.

I normally record two seperate types of actions, one for landscape orientation and one for photos that were in the portrait orientation.
