I've googled this and couldn't find any information.

Can you reshoot over film that's already been developed and to develop it again?

Thanks.

There would be nothing left to develop, the process of develop and fix removes all the unexposed photosensitive material, leaving only the fixed image

Potentially you could develop and bleach out the image, but not fix (same as f making B&W slides) then re-expose if you were very careful. You would only end up with the second image, and blank areas where it overlaps with the original, it wouldn't be like a multiple exposure image

I don't have a clue how you would work out the second exposure though as your film now has an unknown sensitivity to light

As above - once the film has been fixed, it's no longer sensitive to any light.

In the modern jargon, film is a WORM (Write Once Read Many) storage medium :)

Ive seen pictures where the same roll has been used twice prior to developing, just rewind the film and reshoot. You can get some quirky images!

I plan on doing this at some point. But that is:

expose - expose - develop

whereas this is about:

expose - develop - expose

(which, for all intents and purposes is not feasible)

This seems to be very popular with lomo enthusiasts. People will shoot a roll, rewind it and then give it to someone else to shoot the same roll again.
