I just wanted to make a comment regarding a post that was made on a now locked thread:

It was wrong to call her out in the first place, there seems to be some photo police here now who have nothing better to do in life than upset people like this.

It is never wrong to question infringement, especially when the original photograph has been sourced and author identified.

By all means ask the poster to clarify their position but it absolutely not wrong.
In fact it is in full support of TP rules and the post should be reported to the Mods as a matter of course for them to investigate and take the appropriate action.

It's somewhat the same (although less dramatic) as watching a person walk out of your neighbour's house with a TV and computer tucked under their arm.
Would you just ignore that?

It isn't a case of 'upsetting' people. If they don't understand what they are doing, then it is a opportunity to educate. If they do then...

Whilst there are copyright exceptions for posting, ethics and the Forum rules are crystal clear: Don't post other people's work.

If you want to refer to an image that isn't yours. post a link to it.

That applies doubly if the image isn't bylined or if the author is misattributed.
