Any suggestions for a replacement Nikon D3 battery ? Nikons price of over £100 seems a little steep.

Arthur, for the £100 you pay you get an amazing piece of technology that just never seems to run down. It's a bargain I say.....

....but there are other options; I got a used (saying it was at stage 1) Nikon EN-EL4a for £50 from MPB and it's been brilliant, keeping enough charge for 2000+ shots.....

The 7dayshop ones are rubbish. Dodgy connections and they occasionally randomly die, and really really don't like any temperatures below about 5 degrees.

The £12 ones on ebay, however, are great. I've got one real nikon one, they're the same as it.

£50 each? might as well buy the real things.

The £12 ones I bought aren't still on ebay, so dunno which ones are good. But the 7dayshop ones certainly weren't.

To be fair, if I'd only needed one spare, I'd probably have bought the real thing. Not so useful when you need 5...

Gone with a Nikon one at £81 from Amazon. However, I'm not convinced there is that much technology in them to warrant the price charged.
