I managed to get my hands on a used Sony A99 for a price that I couldn't say no to. However I didn't do my homework correctly and now I realise that my day to day go to lens theTamron Di II 17-50 is going to need replacing as the Di II models are specifically for APS-C sensors and is giving me horrific vignetting on the A99 to the point where it is simply unusable. However I am not sure what I should be looking to replace it. Ideally I want something that will give me equivalent focal range. I used the 17-50 on my Sony A700 and it was probably my most used lens.

Budget wise looking at trying to keep it to around £600 if that is possible, just not sure where I should be putting my money on this one as this is my first time using a FF camera

You should be able to pick up a used Sony 24-70 CZ for that.

Alternatively try a Sony/Tamron 28-75 2.8. Same lens but there’s a Sony branded and Tamron branded version.

Also the Tamron 24-70 2.8 G1 is within your price range.

Couple of possibilities:

https://www.lcegroup.co.uk/Used/Sigma-DG-24-105mm-F/4-OS-ART-A-Mount_251790.html - only f4, but a wider range.

https://www.lcegroup.co.uk/Used/Sony-28-75mm-SAM-F/2.8_241455.html f2.8 and 28-75, so quite similar to what you had for £350

https://www.wexphotovideo.com/sony-28-75mm-f2-8-sam-lens-used-1711004/ £342 at Wex

https://www.mifsuds.com/Used-Products/Used-Auto-focus-Lenses/Used-Minolta-AF-28-75-F28-AFD? Older version for £200

https://www.mifsuds.com/Used-Products/Used-Auto-focus-Lenses/used-minolta-24-105mm-f35-45-afd? Older 24-105 variable aperture for £150

In your situation I'd probably pick up one of the SAM 28-75s & PX the 17-50.
