Just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience of disassembling/repairing/cleaning old Zuiko manual focus lenses?
Reason for asking is that I've hit a problem with my 50mm F1.8.
This is not the first lens I've taken apart but it is the first Olympus. Having removed the front filter bezel and undone the three screws, the front lens elements pop out but the elements (lenses) appear to be cemented together.
Would anyone know if this is correct? If so, presumably you can't separate the two lenses (I assume there isn't a third lens lurking in the middle) to clean the inner surfaces?
I don't really want to junk the lens, even though it didn't cost too much. It's not the dust I'm concerned about, but i think I can see some traces of fungus.
I've already done the usual trawl of the web and on-line videos but so far can't seem to find an actual answer to the issue.
