Hello Guys,
I am trying to rent a Canon 70-200 F4L for a trip to scotland this weekend. I tried a number of places (Lensesforhire, calumet, camerarent and local camera shop), none of them have a lens to spare, I mean rent.
Can anybody suggest a place or person to rent, TBH I want to try out one before buying it. Maybe buy it if anyone is selling it ultra cheap:thinking:
Can I borrow from someone???:help:
I am based in Orpington, Kent.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Cheers,
Raj.

:thinking::naughty:
Seriously though, I know you want to try before you buy, but that aside, why not rent a f/2.8 version instead.... it will probably make you want one and leave you even more skint :)

How about bunging it on a credit card, buying it from Jessops, and then taking it back once you're back for a refund?

They do a 28 day no questions asked returns policy.

(I know it's not really the right thing to do though)

Also note that you need everything that comes with it. I returned a Flash I bought from there as it didn't have the features I needed (yes, next time I will read up first) and they wanted to charge me 10% for 2 bags that came with it (as in, clear plastic bags).
