Renault World Series - Fancy a freebie ???

Sounds like fun. Spending a day at a Renault Freebie event which is packed out with the great unwashed on a circuit that isn't 'tog friendly.

I'd rather go to any ordinary club meeting as you can move around much more freely and have almost access all areas (apart from trackside)

I've got some good shots from a couple of spots at silverstone. The more challenging the location the more you can learn from it.
 
Not wrong side of bed - just I can't see the fascination with the Renault World Series. I don't like big crowds...

If you're going to try and take photos then you won't appreciate the crowds, and Silverstone is hardly the best for public access, and you'll be fighting for access against a whole bunch of chavs with compacts and camera phones.

£ 10 will get you into a club race meeting at virtually any circuit around the UK. Crowds will be minimal meaning you can get the very best angles without being nudged or sworn at. About the only thing it won't have is heavily made up girls in lycra (and the chavs).

This Sunday I'm at Silverstone making use of my first media pass (somewhat nervous about this) for a club meeting. The weekend of the RWS I'm at Rockingham, hopefully I'll be accreditated for that meeting as well
 
Im going. Its a free event with a F1 car demo. I cant wait for the F1 car. I have never seen and more importantly heard one before!

Are the tickets for both days or do they randomly select one of the two days for you?

I went last year & was stuck in a 2 hour traffic jam...never made it to sliverstone:(:(

So word of caution.. set off early!! LOL

I also went the year before & we had a great time, plenty of photo opportunities :clap: Images below taken with a Canon S3is, before I had a dslr:)

what's the point of this event, agenda? races, parades etc. assuming all things renault and all day?

reading above, is access to areas limited?

No idea of the point, but the whole track is usually open (apart from the pits).

Got my tickets through just now..
 
I got mine through this morning too. Will be on the lookout for TP branded stuff on the day and might get to put some faces to names
 
got mine the other day...hopefully should be a good day, staying down in Oxford for the week so will hopefully have an opportunity to get some good shots around and about :thumbs:
