Removing images from lightroom

Depends on which version of LR.... I spent an hour on Sunday trying to remove 'rejected' images from the disk as well as from Collections. You can only delete from Disk+Collection when you're in the "All Photographs" view of the Library. (Lightroom 6 CC) Del/Backspace just removes from Collection when in a Collection.

-In the Library Module select the top Folder that contains all the rejected images you want to get rid off.
-Make sure you have Library>Show Photos In Subfolders turned On
-Photo>Delete Rejected Photos
-Select "Delete from Disk" to remove all the rejects from your Lightroom Catalog and move them to the Recycle Bin.

*LR 5.7.1, pretty sure 6 works the same way
