any tips for removing hair from a picture. it is a portrait shot of a girl, and i didn't notice a bit of a hair issue on the left side of her head...wanna get rid of it, but wasn't sure if spot removal on lightroom or photoshop are good enough/ the right tool for this?

Post up the picture and somebody will have a go and tell you how they did it

i'm not allowed to post the pic up - it is a job for a client...all sorts of copyright issues.

why not just make a crop of the problem (just the left side of her head) and post that. someone can fix it or advise you on the best way of doing it :)

Is it over her face or sticking outwards?

I think I read your first post wrong :)

Without seeing the problem it's difficult to advise. However if it's a hair then I don't think the spot healing brush would work. I'd be looking at either the healing tool or maybe the clone tool. But without sight of the problem it's all guesswork.

Technically its possible to get rid of anything in a picture using photoshop or a similar program but the level of difficulty depends on what you want to get rid of and how big of an area it is.

A few hairs can probably be cloned out easily but if you want to remove bulk bits of someones hair and still make the rest look natural, it will likely be much harder

Isn't posting on here regarded as the processing / editing, if someone else edits it. Can't you get around the copyright that way.

A great tool as mentioned is the healing brush. Take a sample from a colour close by and set the blending mode for the brush to lighten or darken (actually a great way to clone generally)

thanks for all the help...i went with the healing tool and adding a really subtle light gradient to hide where the hair had been removed. will try and post when they have done their exclusive with the image. really, really appreciate your help.
