Hi

I have had a look but cant find anything specific, I would like to purchase a remote trigger for my Canon 500D, I have a Canon speedlite 430 EX II and need to start using it off camera for portrait work.

I am getting confused with the options and checking on website it is not clear what i need.

I am assuming the transmitter jsut sits where the flash would if it was on the camera and the Flash is linked to a receiver, that simple.

So some advise on a good but inexpensive model would be great.

thanks in advance.

Neil.

I'd be interested to see what you end up with and your photo results.

You got it :) Yongnuo RF-602 is very popular - cheap and reliable. Like this, from Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/RF-602-Wire...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1326673084&sr=1-1 You need one with the cable fitting for xxD and xD Canons, not xxxD

Hoppy,
not seen you on SN for a while.. where you been? ;)

I'm looking to get a Nssin Di 622mkII, I take it you can add to it to do back/side remote flash too?

Hi Salsa!

Di622 is a popular 3rd party gun, good value. It should work fine, on camera or remote. Main feature it doesn't have that Canons do is high speed sync which is very useful outdoors in daylight.

OT - I've not been on S'net for a long time, though I still meet up with some old friends (Floyd). It was a S'netter that pointed me here and I've hung around. Swapped the Scoob for an Audi S4 a couple of years ago - great car (not quite a Scoob ;)) but I miss the Subaru scene. Had some great times :)
