Parked up next to two CCTV cameras just across the road from my fave chicken shop today. Hid my camera and bag in the foot well ..and pop cross the road to order some food.

The vans in full view all the time.

As I'm leaving the shop I see a shell suite chav pop down the passenger side of my van against the fence on that side...

I then run across the street... thinking, perhaps hes just having a pee...

Hes not! ... he has a metal tool down the side of my passanger window and is trying to pop the lock..

He doesn't see me approach till the last minute, at which point he's twirled around and says "Is this you van mate" ..like hes just found it for me or something.

He didn't get a verbal answer ... ;)

But he did get away from me eventually... :(

I have a sore knuckles....and I now know for sure I'm not as fit as I used to be ...pant pant.

Goddam that was close...:gag:

Please take note everyone.

I hope you 'explained' things good and proper!

I don't condone taking the law into your own hands or violence, but..................................................................................................................... well done,:bat::lol:.
Thieving little scumbags, why can't they get a job like everyone else.
Mind you saying that we have a few blokes at work that will take anything if it ain't nailed down.

Just as well you spotted him when you did otherwise you could be telling a different story.

adam adam adam ..:nono:

i have told you before be careful

glad your boy was not around and you could do what you felt right...

nice one mate...

md:thumbs:

Almost certainly Min.. if I'd ordered chips and drink I'd without equipment right now...seconds in it...

Funny thing was, thinking about it now, I mistakenly got to the front of the food que due to a keen nodding teller, actually two people in front of me... so I was in and out within ten seconds. I remember thinking wow that was quick...

Makes me feel ill just thinking about how close I was to losing the lot. :(

Simon: luckily the thief had chosen the hidden side of the van to interact with me. :D

I shouldn't normally condone taking the law into your own hands, but this aint a utopia, and the law doesnt always work properly, so good on you! Hope you gave the lad a good stern, er, talking to, about the wrongs of theft. ;)

Glad you got the scum, and that you're telling us a happy tale, not from a hospital bed, having been stabbed or shot.

I think you have the right to protect your property, and also defend yourself... you were doing both and should act accordingly... TWICE AS ROUGH!!! lol..

A BIG well done from me... what part of the world was this ??

Well I for one am very upset and disappointed at this thread and the OP's actions.

Get fit! then when you catch the **** you can bundle him into the back of the van, we can then discuss how to get rid of the body parts :D

Woohooo... DF ROCKS!!!!!!

Living upto your Avatar me thinks...

I love east london..:shake:

Anyway, Its nice to see there are some people that arnt falling for the media hype that you'll get Slotted at the slightest wrong move...

They dont like it 'Up em!' as Grandad says on Dads army...

'Good beating for his troubles' if I've in any way implied that I took that approach I may have inadvertently cause peeps to misinterpret my words into thinking such a thing then ...ooops.

Believe me when I say, it was all above the belt ... height, and weight in no little way came into any sort of play.

:)

well done for having a go, glad it didn't result in the all to common story of a knife in the chest, a lot of these people are desperate and give little thought to the consequences of their actions when cornered

Phew - glad that one worked out alright in the end Adam. I have to admit that even getting out of the car to pay for petrol, my camera bag comes with me. I always thought I was being a bit paranoid, but perhaps not!

Me to carry mine everyday and it goes everywhere with me and I mean everywhere:thumbs:

I congratulate you on your stance as I to had to show my physical prowess off to 2 young lads who were trying to break into my unlocked car, it was outside the garage where I had taken it, I was in reception arranging for a new battery to be fitted as iot had gone dead flat overnight and no chance of locking the car at all as it's all electric. I went out and did'nt even ask him what he was doing I just let him have one in the head, put him down and threatened him, but he had a big london type screwdriver so I let him go, regret that as the scum bag is free to do it again.

If I'd have got the Police he'd have been given his 17th ASBO and told to be a good boy, we'd all ahve been told he had it rough in his family background coming from a one parent family etc.

Rough, I lived in a caravan until I was 13 got 7 bells knocked out me until I was able to defend myself, then no one messed with me

If more of us law abiding folk stood up for ourselves instead of leaving it to others we' would be stronger as a whole:thumbs:

Yeah, I felt the same about this scumbag after he escaped, do a go now to the police, what would be the point.
Although I may report it this afternoon at a police station. If that is, there are no ques and I can park safely. ;) If everyone where reporting crime we may eventually get the police back on our streets again ... kinda angle.

I certainly be carrying my bag at all times from now on.

Forbiddenbiker only reached out to gab the scallys hood and make a citizens arrest, however the hood slipped from his hand he fell and scrapped his knuckle's on the tarmac.....

Saw a road sign in South Africa that might be useful here...

Dont x-ray cars, and Boyzone was better then Gareth Gates?

good comments down this way the blighters work in pairs one on look out other doing job.

:D Well he saw a few errors coming his way, but I don't think I've made much ground in the long run.

Funny thing was I still had the empty takeaway bag in my left had after, flapping open at the base mind, the chicken sandwich having long escaped due to excessive inertia.

I can laugh now right...

Like your new 'tag'.

 to the mods!

Perhaps you could start a patio laying business, a good way of disposing of bodies if ever there was one.

FB, you need one of these for your van...
