Has anyone any experience of using these two programs together?
My set up is: Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 DG OS HSM & Nikon D500
I've noticed in recent weeks that whilst this lens was pin sharp intially when I bought it, theres an element of softness now to my photos and evidently some back focusing going on - neither the camera nor the lens have been dropped and are safely stored so it rules this out as an obvious cause.
My D500 with my other prime lens are sharp and results as expected with no MFT being done on them.
My intentions for the 70-200 lens are to fine tune with the dock after using Focal (which I have just bought to help speed the process up) to get the input adjustment values, but I am struggling to get my head around running the two together.
I have the desired test setting needed at the various lengths from the dock being 70mm/100mm/135mm/200mm at the following distances 1.2m/1.7m/2.75m/Infinity so this would be the 16 adjustment values in total.
However for example, Focal tells me 70mm should be calibrated from a min distance of 3.5m and 135mm would be 4.5m away from the target which are obviously a lot fruther than the distances the dock is saying... so which one should I be using?
Also at what distance would it be recommended for an infinity setting? I have looked this up on various forums with numerous different answers.
Thanks in advance
