:help: Greetings all,

I have been photographing for almost 8 years now and I want to further my
knowledge by attending a full time 3+ year photography course in
college. My only problem is that I cannot find a school, I've been to
the art institute of chicago but left it after a semester because it
was lacking in technique. So far the only school I have found that
would suit my need is rochester institute of technology yet I
would really prefer studying in europe or at least around europe. I am
Turkish, so it would be both closer to home and closer in culture as I
disliked the American culture that I was exposed to in my year's stay
in the United States. I want to attend almost all aspects of photography
but the conceptual/fine arts as I prefer to do those by myself and hate to study them in an academic environment (thats another reason of my recent leave). I want to learn strong studio skills while still practicising photojournalismand landscape photography. My portfolio also includes drawings and graphic work and I have a good academic background, I dont think It would be problem getting in an university once I find it. I just
contacted westminster university as It seemed like an option but It's
really hard to judge remotely. I want a more technical education that
goes through most of the techniques and equipment thoroughly. I would
normally take several professional certificates but my governments
laws regarding conscription restrict me from doing so (hence the 3+
year program request).

Thanks for your time and support everyone

Try HERE. It's an excellent place to study with a very high reputation. I haven't studied here myself, but have visited the library at the Farnham campus many times. Good luck in your quest!
