My "new" motor has leather seats, and whilst they are in pretty good condition, the side bolsters have a bit of scuffing (which is quite usual I believe). I want to attend to this now, because I am only using this car on limited miles, and I want the interior and exterior looking really nice. Has anyone any tips, such as products like "Liquid leather".

Loads of products aimed at car upholstery maintenance - usually more expensive than the same product in a sofa treatment bottle. I feed my seats every 6 months or so (with a sofa food) and they show no sign of wear. Mrs Nod's seats are well worn but respond well to the same food (but do really need recovering at some point - 20 years old and showing their age!)

My tvr seats were completely worn on the bolster and tired and I used furniture clinic products to get them back.

But it is a lot of work. Complete restoration through stripping, prep, respraying etc. Lots of layers.
For the MX-5 seats which were black leather and starting to crack etc on the side bolster, I used their restoration kit.

Dark red seats, but I am a bit OCD, and would like them to look better. I will supply piccies when I can. The car is white, and I spent the best part of three hours this morning trying to get tar spots of the paintwork using Meguiars No 1.

You have done a seriously good job on those, that interior looks lovely. I bookmarked their products the other day, so thanks for that. They have the instruction videos and the colour charts.

I have just bought an 08 Alfa GT (the 1.9 diesel - which may have been breathed on a bit), in white with medium/dark red leather seats and side panels.

I bought a small compressor and some modelling spray guns. The secret is many light layers, but the results were brilliant. I also did the rears by masking all the car and did them in situ.
I'll post up tomorrow morning what I used.

That is a nice little compressor and airbrush kit. Back before I was married, a mate and I used to do up cars (mainly MG's and the like), and I still have my Clarkes compressor and a couple of sprayguns. The guns would be too big for this type of job, but I also have a Devilbiss airbrush somewhere in the garage, which I used for model making.
I cannot emphasise too much how good that looks.

A dedicated tar remover - like AutoGlym Tar remover works wonders and is very easy to apply an very successfully removes tar spots - I had a white A5 and this worked wonders for removing the tar spots that covered it after they decided to re-surface the roads round here ...

Just had a look at their site. The £48 set plus the £10 "dabber" for the bolsters looks like the way to go.
