reflectors

I have just received a 24" circular reflector ( present from the Mrs) it has 4 sides all held in place by zips etc, so any two are usable at any time

White, Black, Gold and Silver

Now my newbie question is: what do you use the different colours for???:shrug:

I appreciate they all have a reflective quality. but BLACK??????

I think the black can be used for low key stuff to help keep light from certain parts of your subject.

I have seen them used to keep light spill off a black backdrop.....

White for a softer reflection
Silver for a harder reflection
Gold to warm up the light
Black to block the light from going somewhere or reflecting from something you can't move.
