Reflector

Those 5-in-1 types sound pretty good. come in 4 sizes, with silver, white, black, grey and gold in one unit.

Depending on what you want it for...bigger isnt always better! ;)
If for macros, or outdoor work...bigger ones blow about in the wind... but they are better for studio work.

7day shop do them in about 4 sizes: here

Peter, you can get one of those mentioned by Janice in this months Practical Photography mag with a a subscription offer... Ive bought it myself thinking I might sub for the reflector! ;)

Depending on what you use it for size makes all the difference. I fancy one of the interfit panel reflectors (once I buy my lights)

I use an A1 piece of white foamboard with an A2 piece of gold card taped to the other side

As has already been said, the size of the reflector you should get depends on your intended use. 32" is a good size for portraits but can be a bit bulky when trying to macro, especially outdoors.

I use either a 5-1 32" or a 6' silver/gold panel for studio work and am now trying to decide between a 12" or 19" 5-1 for macro.

I cut a piece of cardboard to my preferred size, crumple some tin foil, and wrap it round it.

CHEAP.
