Just in process of setting up a home studio. Any recommendations for a couple of reflector boards? Dont have to fold away either as i could keep them in the spare room when not being used. Preferably reversible ones with black one side and white the other for high or low key set up. I have looked on the lastolite site but struggling to find something ideal.

Well you could get some lightweight foam boards at the D-I-Y store of the size you need and spraypaint them any color you like!
That's certainly a lot cheaper than Lastolites.

But I would prefer attaching crumpled then stretched household aluminium foil with spray-glue. Iron carefully, without heat!

Would these be to act just as reflectors or some sort of back drop? what sizes are you guys talking?? only you can get round reflectors on ebay very cheaply.. and they come with Black, Gold, Silver and white covers on them.. and they fold away.. but im guessing you mean great big things.. ingor me.. i know not what i say... lol..

Try your local hobby shop, like Hobbycraft. You can get some stiff art board from them plus sheets of coloured art paper. For white use the art board as is. For other effects use bulldog clips to hold the coloured art paper in place.

Ideal for table top work. You may need to figure how to stop the art board from falling over.

I think your referring to the Lastolite "bottle tops". These have a diffuser "core" and then you can drape other surfaces over them for effects ect.

Check out the Lastolite web site
