reflections in eyes

Hi,

Taking pictures at the weekend in brightlight I notice I am getting reflections in baby's eyes. Any ideas how I can avoid the reflections please?

will do tonight but its basically that you can see me in her eyes when i take the photo in bright light.

my guess is because the subject is in the shade and you have sun reflecting on you. meaning you are bright.

Quite the reverse. The OP is visible because he is silhouetted against a bright sky.

If you want to avoid appearing in these catchlights then you need to either reposition yourself eg be below the horizon line, or shoot contre jour.
