Every winter for the last three years I’ve had a small number of Reed Buntings visit, mainly males with up to six at a time. Today while watching birds in my garden for the RSPB’s Big Garden Birdwatch I saw one of the male Reed Buntings feeding from a feeder. I’ve never witnessed this before, has anyone else ever seen Buntings feed in this way?

Not personally but a friend in South Yorkshire who lives close to Potteric Carr nature reserve sometimes gets reed buntings on feeders in his garden.

At a local nature reserve there's a feeding station set up with feeders, tables ect, the Reed buntings are regular feeders on them, I'm sure I'll have a few photos of them somewhere.
