Redsnapper RSH-61 Ball Head

Hi,

Wondered if anyone can help, just got the redsnapper tripod and ball head packages (very nice bit of kit for the cash), I have a query about the extra bits in with the ball head. I understand the other screw on attachment but the odd sliver thing has me baffled....any ideas

Looks like its special key to help get the insert Pictured left) out of whatever you have inserted it into!

I didn't get one with my ball head, but did buy it a couple of years ago.
