Help

I have taken images on with a hilite setup and used lencarta smart flashes, when I have checked my images afterwards they appear to have a red tinge to them. I shot in jpg only and only have limited knowledge of photoshop elements and lightroom, is there anyway I can sort them using those 2 programmes?

Any help gratefully received

Could be white balance? Try opening the shots in RAW (FILE>OPEN AS>CAMERA RAW in Elements) and giving the Temperature slide a twiddle.

i agree with jon. By opening the images in raw and changinh thw white valance you should sort the issue. If that doesnt work try desaturating the red from the image slightly or reducing the vibarancy of the reds. If this post seems confusing let me know and i will find a link that can help you.

You can do this in lightroom. Just because the image is a jpeg, you can still change the tint. If the backgrounds are not blown, you can use the colour dropper to auto white balance. In fact, if there is anything in the image that is white and not blown, you can use that. If they are blown, the first two sliders affect the colour balance. Just try moving the sliders to the left and right to see what effect they have.

Thanks, I'll give these a go, I'm new to elements and Lightroom but beat way to learn I guess is to experiment.

Certainly is! Well, channelled experimentation. Get a decent book -Scott Kelby, perhaps - or see if you can find a course or some tuition.
