Right, Ive had a misfit flash, the wifes had a misfit shine, not been madly impressed with either due to battery issues and her shine giving up the ghost completely.

Now, there's a caveat for those wishing to recommend the apple watch, which I'd like, however I don't wear one, not only that but I work in a neonatal intensive care and am not allowed to wear a watch at all.

SO, I need something that CAN be worn as a watch on days off, but popped onto my shoe or in my sock like I did with the flash.

I DONT need to measure heart rate etc, just steps / calories and I don't go swimming or cycling or running, I literally only walk as excercise.

Any suggestions?

Fitbit Zip or One?

I know neither can be worn as a watch, but seem to be pretty good battery wise.

Can you wear a watch style one around your ankle? I've seen a few people do that.

My phone and Google Fit seems to record my activity pretty well :)

the Fitbit Flex and Alta models can be taken out of their straps and worn elsewhere - as a pendant or in or put in a pocket - but I suspect out the of the strap it is no way near as good as a Zip or One as they're designed to be used that way

The only one I know of is a Fitbit One.

Or what about your phone? They have pretty good step counters now IIRC.

Ummmm nurse in a neonatal intensive care? Bit too much stuff going on without loading the one pocket I have on the uniform with a phone hence asking for something that can go in my sock? ;)
