Opening with an appreciation that I'm undoubtedly asking a variation on an oft repeated question.
Looking for a recommendation for a compact bag that will comfortably accommodate a Nikon D500 and 24/70 F2.8 lens but has enough headroom to store everything else that might be needed for a day's photography (spare memory cards, batteries, cleaning kit etc) which is larger than a Lowepro Toploader Pro 70 but smaller than a Lowepro Magnum 200: both bags are excellent but I'm finding that I struggle to shoehorn stuff into the Toploader but the Magnum 200 can be too large and cumbersome for one camera/lens combination - I've looked at Lowepro's Nova and Slingshot bags but I'm not sure if they would accommodate the D500 with the 24/70 lens.
I'd prefer to use a top loading bag instead of a backpack for ease of access and would prefer to "buy well and buy once" - I'm brand agnostic but am leaning towards Lowepro simply as I'm familiar with the brand and could attach my existing Sliplock accessories to it.
Many thanks
