Recommendations - Single Head and Softbox

Hi,

I have a pair of Bowens 400 heads with shoot through / reflector umbrellas and snots.

I want to add a large softbox lit with something like a 500 or 600 flash head as a main light source.

Has anyone got any recommendations on a single 500 / 600 flash head and softbox setup that I should consider?

Never used a softbox other than a club night shoot many moons ago so no real ideas on what to go for :shrug:. Therefore any recommendations welcome:rules:

I (and no doubt other people) will happily make recommendations - but we need to know
1. How much space you have
2. What type of shots you want to use it for (moody portraits, flattering portraits, glamour, groups, kids or whatever)

Thanks Garry, I am sort of limited for space but not so much so that I have to stay real small. I can get away with something up to a 100cm square.

I am looking in the main at glamour shots.

I am thinking the 100 x 100 profiled with the 2.8m pneumatic stand, the 600ws head.

Not having used a softbox before, do I need the std reflector inside the softbox or no reflect what so ever?
 
No reflector is used when using softboxes. The softbox is used INSTEAD of a reflector. But for what they cost, it's well worth getting a standard reflector, it will make the flash head much more versatile.

I ordered the 100 x 100, the 600ws flash and a stand paid online and after I logged off I realised I forgot to add the damn reflector :-( it will have to wait cos I am not gonn pay postage on a £4.99 separate order lol.
