Recommendations for Poundland film cross process b/w

I have done this before, but not for some time. I'm looking for proven methods of cross processing C41 film in b/w chemistry. I wouldn't mind a stand process if anyone has tried this. I have two developers at hand - Rodinal, and LC29. Any suggestions?

By the way, motive is entirely cheapskate budgetary.

That's quite funny. That is my blog and post . That's how I did it then with highly diluted ID11 and inversions, but I wonder if anyone has a stew recipe with Rodinal.

I've done Rodinal semi-stand in 1:100 - agitation for 15 seconds to start then another 15 seconds at 30 minutes. These two were also pushed.

They needed a big contrast boost in PP though.

First test results.

Using my battered Olympus XA2 (50p from a car boot sale) compact camera / Poundland film (AgfaPhoto Vista Plus 200) / cross (C41 film in b/w chemistry) and stand processed at 125 minutes in 1:100 Rodinal/water (a measly 3 ml of Agfa Rodinal).

I took Anita to the local fleapit to watch the Pixel movie while it was stand processing. It might have gone to 130 minutes. Scanned in the Epson V500 with Epson software set to b/w negative and 16 bit grayscale. WARNING some quick post scan work to levels and curves using Open Source Gimp software.

This is budget photography.

Was the contrast etc very low before adjustment, as others have suggested (or did your 130 minute stand boost it up?)? Sorry, that's possibly two questions, not very clear this morning.

As a fellow aficionado of budget photography, I like 'em! Actually, some of my favourite shots have been xprocessed Vista. Maybe I'd have liked them better on TriX or something, but maybe I wouldn't have . . .

A fair request. Here are the scans without ANY Gimp post scan manipulation. However, take note that although I used the Epson scanner software in it's so-called professional mode with sharpening off, it did save the scans with a certain amount of auto-level correction. Just like most hybrid photography, it is not totally divorced of any post process.

There you go, as before but minus my enhancements on Gimp post scan. The scans actually came out better than they looked on preview. Not exactly T Max are they. However, they have a charm of their own I think. I work out the cost of the developer as being circa 8p per film. Even with reused stop and fixer, I'd hazard to guess that total cost of film and home process altogether works out no more than £1.25 or so.

I inverted the tank several times right at the beginning, as I couldn't be bothered stirring in the rodinal solution . I also couldn't be asked to check temperatures. Tap water is usually around 21C this time of year. . Maybe next time, to cut down costs I can just use water as a stop, and fairy liquid for wetting agent.
