Recommend screen recording software for publising on the web - html5, not flash

I am wondering if anyone can recommend some software for doing help type videos for using software. The output file cannot be flash and must work in html5 without any plug ins. We've used Adobe Captivate in the past, but this generates flash files which we don't want to use.

Something to record the screen and then add annotations after.

not sure of any good screen capture programs but if you fail to find anything i know a good converter application which should allow you to convert flash (or any other video format) to whatever you want. Its called Super - http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

BTW... great night shots in your flickr account!!! Quite impressive for the D3100.
