Hi, as the title says. i am looking for a new printer that can print high quality pictures and also print normal documents quick.

my budget is £200 max. Which brand should i be looking for? in the past, canon were the best printer around 6-7 years ago. what about now?

Thanks

I bought a Canon Pixma MG6150 a few weeks ago and am very happy with the prints it produces. Has 5 (I think) colour cartridges. All-in-one scanner and copier.

I bought a HP photosmart B9180 on eBay for £80 takes 8 different inks though, but the print quality is amazing

Im in the same boat as you, but im really considering a Canon Pixma MG6150.
Its £171 on amazon, going by the specs, seems to be the best quality printer you can get for the money.
But havent read into the reviews yet but im sure some on here must know more

Hi all, I to recently bought a HP photosmart and the quality is not great, I want one to print out immediately at events and I have seen a lot of people using Mitsubishi ones can anyone recommend these? Budget up to £300 or are they quite a lot more??

It think it is now down to £99 :)

To be honest when it comes the the budget photo inkjet market Canon pretty much owns it. The MG6150 looks great value for money, but if you don't need the all in one functions then the IP4850 is a great printer for the money. The list price at Canon is £69 for the IP4850, which means it can probably be had for a lot cheaper.

I use an older IP4700, and I can't fault the print quality for the money I paid for it.

Dude, you seem to have misspelt Epson :D

I looked at the Canon pixima all in one but as i already have a HP deskjet i really want a specific photo printer myself. There most be something that isnt feature heavy, just a good solid machine that produces high quality, accurate prints?

Just recently bought the Canon Pixma MG5250 and im very impressed so far for the price i got it for, 80 quid i think.

But for that budget i dare say there would be better.

back when I was selling these I wouldn't used Epson for anything more than a paper weight.
the high end epsons looked nice of course.
I'd still look at canon's even now. for quality, cost of ink, etc
seperate black ink units for text and photos for one

I just bought a Canon Pixma ix6550. It's an A3 printer, 5 cartridges, print quality is very good, and can be had for less than £200... Well worth it...
