Looking at buying a mount cutter so I can mount my images for camera club (and in future, mount LRPS submissions), but have seen soooooo many....

cheap ones for about £12 that are the blade mounted in a holder thing, upto spending £100's on ones that seem mounted into a metal guide.

Either way, I have no experience of using them, so...

1. I need something fairly simple to use and won't land in the pond after 10 minutes
2. something that is pretty much guaranteed to give good results
3. easy to store so his lordship doesn't get the hump at even more photographic stuff coming in the door!

I've used a framers to cut mounts for me in the past, but their prices aren't getting any cheaper!

thanks!

Have a look @ the Logan 301-1, Costs about £100, Simple to use & consistent results.

thanks Toonie! I've notice logan keeps cropping up (no pun intended!) anyone else got other suggestions?

Look out for a Keencut Ultimate Gold.

Quite expensive but will last a lifetime and with a bit of practice you will be creating single and double mounts in five minutes.

thanks All, I've gone with Toonies recommendation as the video was really informative. It arrived today, just waiting to get some mount to cut and I'll let you know how I get on.

Good thinking Brian about Focus - but I've got my impatient pants on and want to get on with it now ;)
