I need to send my 7D and 3002.8 to Canon at Elstree and having never sent a parcel don't know who to use. It will have to be fully insured and ultimately service is more important to me than price.
Regards Tom
I would recommend Interparcel, they are more like a price checker for couriers, DHL seem to come out cheapest when I sent stuff to India and Canada. You will need to print out the address labels etc though.
+1 for Interparcel. Have sent several bass guitars and amps through them using the UPS option. Apart from one (which was over Christmas and during the snow) they have always got there earlier than promised. You do need to add the insurance but you can set the amount you want to pay for.
DPD have always been very good for me, I think Interlink Direct is thier public section wheas DPD is more trade, but both have always been good service.
Ive sent bass guitars, cameras and computer parts by Interlink without issue
Remember to check the fine print on whichever courier you choose. Glass is not covered for damage in transit with some services, for example - rather important when you are sending a lens!
just make sure it will get insurance for the value of the gear you will be sending...nothing worse then saving on postage and then if something happens not be able to get your money back!
saying that, I never had problems with RMSD and missing goods
different department deals with RMSD and not normal posties they want to make sure nothing goes wrong with them
If you'd like an independent individual courier, with twenty years experience, lots of care, a good brain, and the trustworthiness of a god ..give us a pm. I know just the chap.
Yes it will be more expensive than the normal route.
