I've been asked to produce some A3 garden images on matte paper on my Epson 2880 - I've come across Epson Matte but wondered if it's weighty enough at 167g

Any other recommendations please - particularly if there's a sample pack available & the ICC manufacturer's profile ;)

TIA

Andrew

A nice cheap paper is Epson Enhanced Matte

A nice expensive paper is Hahnemhule Photo Rag 308gsm

I use both, the epson gives a clean crisp image and the Photo Rag is just fantastic

Thanks for this - I see what you mean about the price of the photo rag. You wouldn't want too many mistakes at A3

I've started looking around but can't seem to find the enhanced matte in smaller pack sizes - so far all I can find is 250's or roll paper.

Any suggestions please

What weight are you looking for.

I've started using Ilford Galerie Smooth Perl paper on my 2880. Its 290 gsm and does have a rather nice finish. Nor dead matt but a bit like the Old unglazed glossy paper of years gone by. Good news is it's available in A3 and A3+ but also, A4 smaller sizes for proofing.

The profiles Ilford supply are quite good. In fact in some ways they are better than my own custom ones.

You can also pick up a sample pack from most suppliers of all the papers avaialbel so you can rest them out yourself, about £10 or so if my memory serves
