Anybody got recomendations for anual travel insurance?

I let mine slip in Feb last year, and am travelling (hopefully - ash dependant) to the states at the end of the month, also should have some time away later on as well.

I have got mine with www.Direct-travel.co.uk, the mother in law has used them for years and has never had a problem (has made a couple of claims) also I had a letter through the post a week ago to say they are paying claims for customers who are stranded abroad or who cannot travel due to volcanic ash.

im alway with Direct Travel....great prices :thumbs:
 
i am also with direct travel for annual European cover but when i went to las vegas in feb i used preferential travel insurance for a one off trip
 
We were with direct travel for quite a while for our yearly world travel policy very good price never had to claim so cant say what they were like reguards to a claim. Last year we changed over to columbus direct they were a bit cheaper, we made a claim with them and they were quite quick paying out so no complaints there. There is a item in the daily mail today (12th may) about what insurers will and wont protect you for your holidays due to the ash cloud chaos looks like a lot of the big boys are not playing fair.

Will have a look through them. Seems a few will cover for ash disruptions, but only if you have paid a premium and checked in for your flight. Sneaky buggers!!!
