I've tried a few different ones to hold my rear dashcam in place to no avail. As soon as the window gets warm or damp they drop off. Years ago the double sided tape was extremely thin (no sponginess ) and stuck like the proverbial. Any suggestions folks?

Have a look for DIY Doctor Extra Strong Double Sided Carpet Tape
Thin and sticks like the proverbial to a blanket, use it for loads of stuff like sticking a 4 way plug strip to a desk

i was having the same problem until i came across this stuff from Range
it's about a fiver a pack but it's the only stuff iv'e found that's worked

I bought these to stick the front and rear viofo a129 in our car and has not moved.

Not sure how much bigger your dashcam is compared to the one I have.
After reading your suggestion I remember getting these with my Go Pro accessories, they have been up in the loft for a couple of years but I will give them a try.

They do picture hanging Velcro strips in the range , we have a mirror fixed to a plastic wall in the bathroom so should work o.k

Thick clear 3M Pads are best, they allow for the curves in the glass :)

And clean the glass and bracket with Isopropyl Alcohol just before applying the pads.

I asked in the local chemist for a bottle of ipa, young lad behind the counter looked at me and asked “you taking the Mick?” We laughed about that once he was put right.

That's why I specified the Isoprop - some wag always thinks they're the first to come up with the ale gag.
